Campaigning during party conference season: email-to-MP actions created with Impact Stack

Each autumn, UK political parties hold their annual conferences to discuss key issues, shape party policy and set out their political agendas.

For charities, unions and other campaigning organisations, it's a valuable opportunity to get important issues onto the political agenda, influence decision-makers and build support for change.

All of these actions use Impact Stack’s ready-to-use, geographically mapped dataset of UK MPs. Supporters just enter their postcode to be matched with their local MP and send them a message.

Action: Email your MP: Ask them to meet with Dementia UK
Tip: This action makes effective use of social proof, with a prominent progress bar showing how many people have already emailed their MP. Highlighting the thousands who have taken part can encourage others to follow their lead, and take action too.

Young Lives vs Cancer
Action: Ask your MP to meet with us at party conference.
Tip: This action uses accordions (expandable sections) to keep the page text concise without losing useful extra information. Supporters can choose to expand sections to read the email they will send to their MP and also to find out why the charity is attending party conferences.
